Website Developer & Integration Specialist
We’re looking for a Website Developer & Integration Specialist to work full time with a large degree of autonomy liaising with Project Managers and the head of website development.
We’re looking for someone who is a HTML and CSS guru with, preferably, jQuery experience as well.
You will be provided with PSD’s of various sections of websites and it will be your job to slice them and create HTML that seamlessly integrates with the existing systems.
You’ll be working on websites that receive more than 50,000 visitors a day and, as such, the user interface and HTML/CSS integration is of high importance.
Responsibilities Include:
• Analysing existing HTML and CSS to understand how new sections of the interface will fit with the existing system.
• Slicing PSD’s to create low overhead files.
• Writing new HTML and CSS that fits with existing portions of the system based on PSDs and specifications provided to you.
• Working closely with development teams and project managers.
Technical required skills include:
• Minimum 3 years experience programming in HTML, XHTML and CSS
• Have a portfolio of websites where you’ve been responsible for the HTML, XHTML and CSS.
Desired (but non-essential) technical skills include:
• Experience programming in Javascript and jQuery.
• An understanding or previous experience working with Perl.
Non-technical required skills include:
• Strong communication, reporting and interpersonal skills
• Self sufficient, highly motivated, resourceful individual
• Have an almost obsessive attention to detail
