1. EDUCATION: B.S. in Engineering.
2. EXPERIENCE: Nine (9) years, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry, such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as an expert in his field. Building projects in Oil & Gas industry
“The Exhibitions Interface Coordinator ( EIC )position is responsible for providing on-site technical support to the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (“the Center”)
Proponent Team and to review exhibit design documents, develop and submit issues papers, attend ongoing project meetings, conduct workshops and facilitate
implementation of approved recommendations as needed for the Center’s exhibitions program. The EIC shall provide these services through the Center’s commissioning and post opening period.
The EIC will work as part of an integrated leadership team with the Center and consultants to ensure successful delivery of the exhibition components. This individual will be responsible for, and provide management and guidance for, the delivery of exhibition component activities and tasks. EIC will also be responsible for integrating the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture project team with the Operation Readiness Center (ORC) team, and for ensuring that the integrated team remains seamless and focused on performance.
EIC will maintain a full understanding of Center procedures and program policies, and will make decisions so as to deliver results to deadlines. EIC will interface with other Project Managers to accommodate, mitigate, and help resolve issues related to other components. EIC will proactively identify and mitigate scope creep, and identify and resolve risks to project and performance excellence.
Job qualifications
• Licensed architect, or similar accreditation, with 15 years of experience, preferably in Arab countries, including the GCC.
• Ability to read and fully understand schematic and construction drawings.
• Complete understanding of best-practices in a corporate setting
• Experience applying architectural and design knowledge and skills in the context of cultural institutions, in particular regarding the interface between a cultural institution’s exhibitions and the base building.
• Project management skills are a distinct advantage and highly desirable for this position.
Justification
This supplemental manpower is required to fulfill a temporary, project-based need at the Center that requires a very specific skill set and experience with the interface of exhibits at cultural institutions and the base building that is difficult to procure. The expertise required for this position is not available anywhere in the Company, and will be needed, onsite, only during the Center’s design, fabrication, and installation of exhibitions into the building – from approximately November 2011 to mid-2014 – and will be discontinued after that period”
The position is for Saudi Aramco, world no.1 oil producing company in Saudi Arabia, further Personal Interviews will be conducted in Manila, Philippines for short listed applicants most probably by Jan last week.
